Trust me when I say this, LISTEN to 100.5's listeners. By replacing this station with some other station, you will be losing THOUSANDS of fans that have listened to 100.5 since the beginning. Good luck starting over with a pissed off crowd of people in Birmingham.
I love this station, I love what they play, the messages they send, and the dj's. It's stations like this that give me redeemed hope in the art of radio. Radio is a quickly dying trend and loses listeners everyday because stations like this don't come around very often. If I wanted to listen to Nickelback, I'd be tuning into the other mainstream pop commercialized stations in B'ham. But no, those are the stations that make me turn OFF my radio and turn on my ipod. What are you thinking? Who are you trying to please?
Even my friends from other states tune into this station when they are going through B'ham. I've had a friend from Nashville admit that this is better than ANY station in Nashville. Everyone in Auburn loves it.
I ask you this as a loyal listener. PLEASE don't get rid of live 100.5. PLEASE keep around the only indie station that B'ham has! Most of the music I listened to at City Stages (RIP) was heard on YOUR station. The small crowd that was at City Stages was due much in part to YOU.
I want to extend gratitude to you for considering what your listeners have to say. Consider keeping us around!

Sadly, on my way to work Monday morning I discovered that the transformation of 100.5 to talk radio is done after a week or so of automated music/ad playing. It seems to be acerbic right-wing diatribe against the government. I don't know why anyone w/want to listen to someone complain and spew nonstop negativity as they are trapped in their car knowing there is nothing that they can do about it. Seems like a stress-builder in my book.
